[ His attention span... it's failing him low-key. He's also trying to remember what Aces are for. ]

[ Vash is still here enough in the mind to remember this, just that he got distracted through the whole process. He will feed Wolfwood a cheese cube.

Aces are also doing something you've never done before as a reference. ]

[ Gets fed... aa cheese cube... as he works his brain which feels a tad slower than usual, but for once in his life he's not on edge about any smallest lapse in sharpness and awareness. He just thinks maybe this question is stupid or something, and he's had a few drinks. He can't be assed to come up with anything hyperspecific. ]

[ Vash will forget that he has pulled an Ace and his mind isn't as sharp as it could be, but he allows it. They're relaxing... If he needed to be alert and vigilant, he's sure he can filter everything out quickly.

[ Genuinely, while resisting the urge to retaliate because he's embarrassed and nervous. The fight or flight instincts are thrashing about, but he promised he'd work on this, on them.

He pushes the card deck towards Wolfwood, deciding that it counts for his ace. ]

I was planning to keep the black hair before, [ When Wolfwood was dead. ] But I was wondering if I should go back to blond?

[ He can't say he's intrinsically a blond-chaser... he's not sure what he likes actually. His upbringing didn't leave him much room to think about it. Not that he cares much -- before, it was because he was certain he'd die young when it was all said and done, and now, it's because he has Vash. He doesn't pull a new card for their modified Old Maid yet, taking a moment to consider. ]

[ Which is for the most part true. He's still a bit nervous sometimes with the knowledge he's been granted thanks to Knives's general ranting and all, but he just has to trust in Vash. And dyeing it to blond for Wolfwood's sake is just kind of like slapping new drywall over a hole, so.

It's really about what Vash wants and if he likes himself better blond. ]

[ Vash had thought to keep his hair as is for ease, but the black color had reminded him of Wolfwood. Not exactly the same—his hair is a bit wilder, prone to be unkempt, and doesn't set in the same way. He doesn't need to miss Wolfwood in that way anymore.

Swirling his drink, he doesn't even ponder over his new mortality for one second. He had enough time during the months before he fought with Knives. ]

Bleaching's gotta be annoying, especially if I have to do it every once in a while. It's also not cheap, I heard.

[ He drawls before taking another sip. ]

[ And he can't always be assed to look incredibly presentable. Hours at the salon bleaching? Possibility of getting interrupted in the middle and leaving with a weird haircut. ]

Yeah. It's easier to add color when I started off blond, then the big guy already had lighter hair color.

[ Feeds Wolfwood another cube of cheese. ]

It's the fuckin' fact that they got your blond ass, red jacket, and shades right on the front cover and you didn't even think of changin' one single thing about it. For how many years!

[ Pokes him in the temple because he's rude. But also Vash is insane. And maybe this is sort of finally payback for the sheer fact that the one time Vash actually did do the laying-low thing proper was the time Wolfwood had to actually find him! It took two years. ]

[ His head so easily lolls when Wolfwood pokes him... Eyes crinkled into a smile much like his lips, a little goofy and maybe all too content to be washed away by alcohol. It doesn't entirely have his mind, but he does feel it slip into a peaceful lull.

Peaceful enough where he's thinking how nice it'd be to have a huge chunk of cheese. The criticism is rolling off his back since he has heard this before. He extends his pointer finger for the hand holding a glass, pointing at Wolfwood. ]

You did... Right! [ He remembers his new wanted poster and him still going out there every once in a while saying I'M VASH THE STAMPEDE. ] Why did they choose that photo? I don't look that menacing!
