It is weird that, even though Claude doesn't often get along with people who are rude to him, and Jacopo was clearly... haunted... to say the least when they met in heaven, it has always been easy to get along with him.
He supposes it's because while Jacopo might have secrets he keeps about himself, he's transparent when it comes to how he treats Claude. And he doesn't have any expectations to disappoint, so he doesn't need to play 5d chess to navigate their interactions.

[ It would be nice if he could. While Claude likes to keep the mood up in general, mostly because he's used to managing the morale of his army, he doesn't often concern himself individuals too often. He's not sure that he could live up to it, given the strict demands of his time, so he doesn't offer.
But it is nice to do things for your friends.
He'll continue trying on clothes until he's gone through them all, and they can move along to paying.

[ Jacopo can be a good sport, but the better descriptor is that he plays the missing role in interactions. He'll be friendly and humorous around the broody and dour, while being broody and dour around the friendly and humorous. Strike a balance.

They can head to pay now that Claude has decided he likes these... Jacopo is already thinking of just donating a pair of his shoes to him rather than buy new. They're probably better quality and make than what's sold now in stores. ]

Anyway, I see Jacopo is not playing boyfriend and holding the bags. This is fine, Claude will take them as they wander back into the mall, once again taking in the sights and people that surround them. ]

Did Claude want him to play boyfriend?? Hearing Claude missed his playing has him feeling a sort of way. It was a fond memory of his back in Heaven to teach Claude how to play, though he learned clumsily, but he remembers how he was then... What the conversation eventually led to.
Jacopo is still remorseful for having left him with those feelings. It's embarrassing now, but he doesn't let it show on his casual smile. ]

... This has got to be the lightest piece of gold I've ever held.
[ It really is an odd thing to say about jewelry, but jewelry is part of fashion. It has a history. So many of it is cool, sleek as a preference of modern times, and probably minimalist to them in terms of the amount of gems used.
Also watches are probably in here as a part of accessories. ]
