[ YEAH, THE LITTLE COLLAR WITH THE WHITE BLOCK. Rather than smelly, the room is small... And tasty aroma will linger, in my opinion. Some people do not mind if their room smells like their food. I think Mexican food is inoffensive, but Vash doesn't know if maybe they want some fresh air?

[ Vash hums, still seated on Wolfwood's lap, as if he doesn't want to quite leave yet as tempting as fresh air is. ]

[ Desert breeze should be nice. Hopefully they get one. Assigns nicer places in No Man's Land having those like, bug screens, except fine enough for sand. Are we in a nice enough inn. ]

[ Hands slooowly trying to make their way back to hanging on Vash... the time limit... ]

[ This place is a bit nicer. While it's a small room, the owners did invest in making their patrons comfortable... As much as they can afford, so this one has a fine mesh that keeps both bugs and sand out, but enough to let air in.

Vash stays on Wolfwood's lap, kicking his feet while they're hanging over the armrest. ]

You giving me a deadline or something? I'm going!

[ A small laugh before he wraps his arms around Wolfwood, twisting his body to do so, and gives him a little squeeze... As if asking him to give him this moment. Only then does he pry himself off and up to go to the window and slide it open. ]

I just wasn't seein' a lot of results for announcing it out loud the way you did, was all.

[ He lets Vash leave without complaint, it's not like he's going far or doing anything serious. He even lets the slightly positionally awkward hug happen. It's nice and laid back and though realistically he would have never been able to enjoy it in their previous predicament, it makes him briefly wonder how much he could've been missing out on.

He'll idly pick up and thumb through those cards again while at it, ]

[ He waits at the window, bending over to comfortable rest his forearms on the sill... Just waiting for the breeze to finally hit.

When it does, he turns to Wolfwood. ]

It'll take a bit before you can feel it in the room, but there is a breeze.

[ Success! Until they start hearing yelling right below the window. ]

[ Cutting cards while glancing over. Just in time for some yelling. ]

[ It is a lot to consider this can be multiple places in America. The yelling crescendos in volume, heated and only getting worse. Threats are starting to crop up...

Heaving a sigh, Vash makes his way to the door. ]

[ The LA natives are getting EXTREMELY loud now where Vash has to raise his voice as he turns the doorknob. ]

The other option is to let them keep fighting and maybe hurt themselves?! It's not like we can talk like this!

[ Can Wolfwood even hear him... Well, he has his super senses now. ]

[ THE PROBLEM BEING THAT INTRINSICALLY HE DOESN'T NECESSARILY DISAGREE AT LEAST FOR THE 'IT'S HARD TO CHILL IN THESE CONDITIONS' BIT. He thinks arguments can be resolved by themselves for the most part, but what is he going to do, just sit here and wait and risk the maybe 10-20% chance that Vash is going to get shot on his own.

He SIGHS and follows him out, dragging his cross with. It always comes whenever there is any kind of business. ]

[ It really is a small chance he'd get shot... High chance to get shot at, low chance for bullets to connect unless the gunslinger is better than him (unlikely).

The door closes behind them, then securely locks before Vash pockets the key. This is kind of like old times, he thinks—UG doesn't count they just chilled until murder. ]

[ Vash leads them to the alley that runs right below their window. Throws dart... It's two women fighting and it's incredibly difficult to know why they're fighting. There's hostile lesbian energy here, though, and Wolfwood might be able to relate. ]

[ Was thinking more in the sense of the average person who has a gun and is likely to shoot it, probably not too high at this hour in this kind of place. ]

[ Going 'for fuck's sake' is not worth reiterating. He's just staring at these two women fighting and yelling at each other like. Okay. ]

Doesn't seem too big of a deal to me.

[ Could be worse. What are they arguing about, madams. ]

[ Finally, it is reiterated that the other allegedly is seducing? Sleeping? With her man? And this is where the gun comes out. ]

[ The other says why would she sleep with that pathetic guy? She has better tastes? And that's an insult, or taken as one, because it infuriates the other. Of course, now both guns are at play. Why would the other woman not pull out a gun when she's being threatened by one?

Vash is about to approach, actually, and be his usual self, but Wolfwood may have this short reprieve while Vash is still beside him watching the girls fight. ]

[ YOU JUST ASSIGNING BOTH WOMEN A GUN

He hates it here honestly. Vash may take the lead in interrupting because I sat and stared at this tag for 30 seconds like there is nothing good Wolfwood can offer these women and he's not the type to walk into the line of gunfire for the sake of a petty argument between two complete strangers. ]

They're fightin' over a guy, it's definitely not a big deal.

[ WHY WOULDN'T BOTH OF THEM HAVE GUNS, LOWE? TELL ME WHY. Vash gives Wolfwood an incredulous look. Yes, the topic of the fight isn't a big deal, but then they hear a gunshot which has Vash swiveling back to the altercation.

Going to approach with little jaunty skip, when the last thing he's feeling is jaunty. ]

Hey...! [ Intervenes and gets both of their attention. ] Sorry if I'm interrupting, but it is a little rude to insult a guy. I'm sure he's a good guy—

[ They ask what does he know? Why is he here?! It has distracted them both from shooting some more. Also both of them "you don't know what you're talking about!" Life... Life is rough. ]

[ NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD GUN... it's usually specific types of people. However they're common enough that Wolfwood doesn't find an imminent gunfight alarming. This is the same guy that literally sat around trying to peacefully have some ramen while there was chaos going on, he's not worried. It also takes serious guts to actually fire a gun at a person, the typical civilian isn't actually prepared nor likely to go through with it. ]

Ooh, bad start. [ Why would you start with trying to defend the guy. He sighs and wanders in after, annoyed. ] Why're you fightin' each other over a guy that's apparently been cheatin' on you both?

[ GO FIGHT THE GUY? AND NOT EACH OTHER? Rob him of his wallet or something though, don't kill him. ]

[ Considering his own girlfriend already condemned him and started issuing blame. No one has his back and Vash thinks that's a little pathetic.

The girl saying she didn't sleep with him shoots Wolfwood a fierce glare, full of disgust. "Didn't you hear me earlier? I want nothin' to do with that man!" But the girlfriend says she saw them talk and that's why she shoots again. Don't LIE.

Vash... Wonders why life is like this, but he takes out his gun and shoots. Bullet hits bullet, it's veered off course which catches both women in shock. ]

Wait, wait, wait. Let's not start shooting again. Maybe we can talk this out...? Let's reach an understanding! And we can walk away, no one will need to go to the hospital?

[ Wolfwood please back him up more. ]

Yeah, I'm tellin' them to quit tryin' to fight each other and go to the actual root of the problem. Or I dunno, talk, but you know how most people just don't wanna do that.

[ He sighs, leaning against his cross. Why do you expect him to be a good defuser? He can only do that if he treats both of these women like children, which he's pretty sure is only going to get them even more angry. ]

Hospital bills are expensive these days. So is bailout for shootin' a civilian.

[ That's his two cents. If emotional logic can't convince both of these women, maybe the threat of both a hospital bill and being behind bars will. ]

[ you. know what. Vash doesn't point his gun at them, just holding aimed at the sky, then emphasizes with a pointer finger THAT THIS IS A GREAT DETERRENT. ]

[ This gets the second girl gritting her teeth because making a living in this dust bowl has been easier as of late but it isn't easy, but the first one laughs because! Her boyfriend has money! He would bail her out because of LOVE.

But then the second girl barks about how he doesn't love her? He treats her like garbage and that she could treat her better. ]

[ Talking is happening and there are lesbians. ]

[ Oh this is great. Wolfwood's glad he stepped out after all because there is literally never a time when a development like this ISN'T funny. ]

No extra costs and someone who'd treat you right. Two birds with one stone.

[ Go for it ladies, anything to get this done and dusted. ]

You shouldn't be encouraging people to break it off so fast?!

[ They know nothing about these people's lives!! And while Vash is also fine with supporting a better life, this is just such a funny turn of events where he's at a loss for words to the girls.

Help. He turns back to the scene as a silence falls... Just going to put his gun back into its holster since it doesn't seem like he needs it anymore as these women have a standoff of love. ]

I guess this is handled.

I'm not gonna encourage people to stay together in a relationship that has problems either.

[ They're literally fighting over this guy, clearly one lady doesn't want the guy and the other lady doesn't have enough faith in him to not go potentially cheating OR is clearly insecure enough in the relationship that she thinks any woman just talking to her boyfriend means flirting. It's time to move on to something better. He glances back at the establishment. ]

Bar's still open if you two wanna talk it out.
