[ Why are these clowns competing. Are they copyrighting their clown make-up? Did Vash have to create his own original clown pattern?
Anyway he waves his hand like c'mon, your turn again. Presuming they're playing this Old Maid with just the King's Cup cards and a stray Joker, this shouldn't last too long he thinks. ]
[ Like, wow, the bar is low but it has lowered even more, even though the clowns take their jobs very seriously. Handling children for a day job is not easy.
He pulls out a queen! Ask a question that a person must answer (truth). ]
One thing you like about me that isn't about my gunslinging.
[ How hard is it to get fired from being a clown. Wolfwood imagines he wouldn't hold the job long. People don't like violent clowns, only funny ones. Look, he likes kids, but he's not very good at playing with them at his own expense.
At this point Wolfwood has had an okay amount of drink in him and he looks at the card with slight furrowed brows. Not that he realises it immediately because he doesn't even remember the last time he let his guard down enough to casually keep drinking. ]
Dunno if I'd say I like your gunslinging...
[ Grumbled a little bit. Like, objectively it's impressive. But he had a bone with it in the sense that Vash had all that talent and used it to do anything but what guns were for. Insane behaviour in his eyes, but then again -- ]
[ To wield so much power, but to do absolutely nothing with it... It really is the Vash the Stampede way. He watches him, taking a sip of the expensive wine this time. It isn't much of a sip as it is a little sample. It's still strange on the tongue.
Seeing Wolfwood like this is also strange, comfortable enough to take more sips, to let a little loose, to be a little more honest... This isn't the fumble he wanted to see. To calm his bundled thoughts, he takes a longer sip—he's nervous now, though endeared. ]
That doesn't sound much like a compliment when you say it like that.
[ He pops a piece of cheese into his mouth and motions that he will toss a piece to Wolfwood. Do catch it so it doesn't fall onto the floor. A little pass of dairy, here we go. ]
[ WITH A SCOFF though he is poised to catch cheese with the ease with which he catches bullets. Very funny. The truth is that he had a serious gay thought when he thought about it but trying to put it into words was hard. And when tasks are both gay and hard thet payoff (embarrassment) of it is bad. ]
[ In the way that's like this is certainly going to Go A Way, though maybe there is veiled humour behind it. Thinly veiled. Like he knows how it's probably going to go but consider him a little bit morbidly curious. ]
[ Vash discreetly hooks their arms and sizes up to him, shoulder to shoulder with a lean. He doesn't encroach more than that for now. No resting his head on the cap of his shoulder, no nuzzling... Just going to test the waters first here. ]
[ Because it depend on the mood and Vash is a little shy sometimes. It takes some courage on his part even though he loves deeply. He tries to stifle the little snickers, but one or two escape past his teeth and smile.
He comes in to give Wolfwood another kiss on the cheek. ]
You know, sometimes, you deserve so many kisses.
[ Only for now because Vash can easily change his mind. When Wolfwood beats him with his giant cross, that is when Wolfwood deserves ZERO kisses. ]
[ Who are you and what did you do with Vash the Stampede etc, because Vash would rarely ever say that out loud! No, he's just messing with him. Hooking an arm over him since he's in close distance and rocking back and forth, pulling and pushing him a bit. ]
[ Hehe. He lets Wolfwood rock them back and forth during this little pause in their card game, clinging on and even adding onto the motion. It's all playful fun. ]
No, I'm serious! [ He isn't. ] You should be cute more often.
[ This snaps him sober from their cycle of feeding off of each other's playful goblin energy. He's still clinging onto Wolfwood's arm, but his eyes shift to the corner to look at him... Confused.
He thinks about it deeply at first. If he had more tolerance, Wolfwood could always be cute? What kind of tolerance? Cute tolerance? The thoughts circle, making him squint, before his eyes widen like an owl's as he pries. ]
What... What do you mean by that?
[ What? Does? That mean?! Why does he feel fear encroaching on his heart? He doesn't even know what this means?? Is this just a natural reaction to anything (cutely) unknown about Wolfwood? ]
[ He doesn't get why Vash is having a crisis suddenly. It was a normal jab as far as he's concerned and he doesn't see any reason for Vash to get all spooked about it. ]
Means if you didn't complain so much, I'm actually always endearing.
If I'm always sweet then it ain't special anymore, is it?
[ That's not the real reason why, it just comes to him purely by whim. And just reaching over and plucking a card from Vash's hand. Me parenting up to see what we haven't done and I guess it's just Kings so far so. Finish your entire drink Vash. ]
[ Honestly, he likes Wolfwood as he is... And wouldn't change him. Without the grave circumstances of the past, they're living life as simple as can be.
As simple as Vash downing his entire drink in one go. He chucks some cheese cubes into his mouth after...
