It wasn't too long ago that she would have never been able to have anything like this to eat. Or even be with Nier. It really is miraculous if she takes the time to think about it. ]

He kind of always watches her eat for a bit since he never got to back at home. She really does feast? ]

[ It's fine. Sakyou is rich, and Nier...... is closer to rich now that he doesn't have to spend all his money on trying to cure Yonah.

She isn't paying attention to how Nier is paying attention to her eat because she doesn't think her eating is anything to be watched? It's just eating, Nier. She looks up at him when he says he'll learn to cook these pancakes. ]

[ She's suffered her own fair share of terrible cooking, but she's sure anything Nier makes wouldn't be that bad, and it's incredibly sweet that he would learn to make these soufflé pancakes.

It doesn't surprise her that he would at this point, but it doesn't make it any less moving. Every time he thinks of her only makes her small well of happiness grow. It only reinforces and strengthens what makes her love him. ]

She is a surprised when he feeds her, though, but of course she eats that piece of waffle. She chews it a bit grumpily, though. ]

[ Try to interrupt her while they're in the middle of fighting like this. It's a stupid fight, inconsequential and with little meaning, but it's bold. ]

[ Nier doesn't quite realize that some things he does is really out of a different type of love sometimes. He tends to mix them up... And do whatever feels right. Sometimes you live like this and your life is an entire mess, but people love you, anyway.

[ It's still a little weird to say they're dating. It still makes something inside her flutter to put it forward like that. They are both big horrible messes that have somehow come to love each other and that other people also love.

[ Kainé can be kind and sweet. She is someone who would save and help others, if she had a choice, if people weren't reviled by her, and if she didn't have to prioritize someone she loved, but nice is a stretch. How many times has she sad cold or terrible things?

Nier was never so intimidated by her. Someone who would call her a friend and said he needed her the second time they met couldn't truly be afraid of her, but there are times to be rightfully cowed by how violent and angry she can be. ]

[ Nier can see it. He has seen her cold shoulder before, at the end of her blade once, but he has seen her soft side where she's willing to accept others. While he didn't hear her conversation with Emil when they first showed up at his mansion nor does he know what they talk about when they camp outside, he can tell from Emil's words... From how he's around her, that Kainé is kind.

Also, she's kind enough to stick by him because maybe she knew he needed more people in his life. It's as simple as that. ]

[ Nier is someone who can have so many people in his life. He has the personality to draw people to him. It isn't lost on her. It isn't lost on her how he does separate himself from others at times, too. Even if she doesn't go into towns and cities with him, there are some things you can just see from being by a person's side long enough.

And she knows he does see her for what and who she is even if he does go above to see the best in her. Isn't that part of what made her want to stay with him even though she's thought about how she had to leave him so many times? ]
